Laverne Fitchett
Life does not come with a roadmap. Whether you are navigating trauma, grief, relationship challenges, parenting stress, or simply feeling overwhelmed or stuck, you do not have to face it alone.
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and a PhD Candidate in Human and Social Services – Family Studies and Interventions.
Additionally, as a wife, mother, grandmother, and foster parent, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work. I have supported many diverse individuals, couples, children, adolescents, and families, facing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, relationship challenges, ADHD symptoms, mood disorders, behavioral concerns, parenting struggles, and major life transitions.
My approach is integrative and personalized, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, person-centered therapy, play therapy, and other evidence-based modalities. I believe every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and resilience.
Therapy with me is collaborative and supportive. Together, we will identify your goals, explore barriers to progress, and develop practical tools to help you move forward. I am honored to support clients as they reconnect with themselves, strengthen their relationships, and move toward emotional wellness and purpose.
